THE ART OF REDEMPTION
KT•Prāyze is music that lives somewhere between heart-wrenching emotion and gratitude, blending elements of rock, soul, and R&B.
I grew up listening to powerhouse voices like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, and later fell in love with the honesty and soul of Lauryn Hill. Those artists have had a huge influence on the way I sing, write, and approach music.
But I’m also very much a work in progress. I want to keep pushing myself into new territory, experimenting with different sounds, and allowing the music to grow along with me.

When I was little, I pictured myself with a fancy microphone and a sparkly dress, standing on some kind of stage in front of a whole lot of people. I knew I wanted to be a singer almost as soon as I learned how to talk.
Singing has always been my happy place. It’s where I find peace. It’s where I feel most like myself.
I started writing music after I became a Christian. I felt like God had lavished me with this gift, knowing somehow that I would eventually use it to glorify Him. I didn’t know what that would look like or where it would lead—and honestly, I still don’t.
What has changed is that I’m not living in fear anymore. I spent a lot of years wondering if I was talented enough, good enough, or had what it took. I’m learning to let go of that.
I don’t have to stand in my own confidence.
I can stand in His.
